Chocklett’s Body Tubing is the authentic “secret ingredient” used by Blane in everything from trout flies to musky flies for heads, to segment the bodies, and to keep the materials flared up, allowing them to push more water and have the illusion of bulk — the hollow fly effect — while being light and castable all day.
Guide Recommendations - The 1/2" is ideal for tubing heads on patterns like T-Bones. The 1/4" is perfect for body sections on T-Bones with larger hooks, and for Flexo/Alphlexo crabs on hook sizes #2-1/0. The 1/8" is excellent for smaller, articulated streamers on hooks in the #2-2/0 range (and shanks), and for crabs on hook sizes #8-#4.
